Birds eating cake Posted by Hello

Is obesity a problem in American bird community? Is it easier for the birds to fly when they are fat?

Beads Posted by Hello :

Over two years in the US and I haven't still been to Mardi Gras. Next year may be..

Beads inside a glass of water form the subject of this picture.

Hallway Posted by Hello :

Its amazing how the world transforms once you are behind a camera - you observe things with a completely different perspective

This is the view I get whenever I get out of my apartment. Now I find the view intriguing.

Cola-ge Posted by Hello:

I felt like updating my blog - but was too lazy to go out to find any interesting subject. A coke can and box were of great help as they provided the raw material for an interesting abstract composition

Chaitali Posted by Hello:

Chaitali Surely knows how to pose. I like the way she carelessly lets her hair fall on her face

Kids at the Fountain Posted by Hello :

Two cute Kids overlooking the fountain at the Sculpture garden on a bright sunny day. One of those feel good photographs.

Rusen Posted by Hello:

Rusen at Georgetown waterfront. I just wanted to have this snap here as a placeholder - will replace with a better photograph of her's fairly soon

Bicyle n Car Posted by Hello:

Three different layers of road with one vehicle on each of them. I still feel that the shot could have been more interesting if I had shown some more patience. Water color effect suits this composition

Hazy Batra Posted by Hello:

When you take long exposure shots without using a tripod - the effects can be rather grainy/shaky and unpredictable. I liked the final outcome here

In the Mirror Posted by Hello :

One of the bad things about owning a camera is that the camera owner is very rarely the subject of any photograph. (Not that I love being photographed anyway)
I like the contrasting expressions on our faces

Chaitali Posted by Hello:
Chaitali in black at Georgetown waterfront. One of my very first photographs. I said to myself, "Well.. that was easy"

Windows and Walls Posted by Hello:

A view from Chaitali's window (B&W, Charcoal Effect) - For some very vague reason, this picture reminds me of some images from the World War II era

Many Cars Posted by Hello:

Usually I hate getting stuck in serpentine queue of cars. However, on a nice sunny day on the scenic GW Parkway (aided by the fact that I was in no particular hurry to reach anywhere) - I took this distinctly happy photograph. I wish I had taken this picture on a more curvaceous portion of the parkway

Walking Down Posted by Hello:

This one is one of my personal favorites. I found this view from Chaitali's apartment fairly interesting - Had to wait for quite some time for someone to pass by and approach the stairs.
B&W and soft focus seem to work in this photograph
